Dr. Viktoriia Kamska
I consider myself an artist of wildlife science, aspiring to explore the mysteries of nature. I develop and integrate my artistic and scientific knowledge and skills, as I view them as complementary. A creative approach enables me to convey complex scientific concepts to the public, while art allows me to tackle scientific challenges from new perspectives, uncovering non-trivial solutions.

My artworks draw inspiration from nature, prominently featuring decorative elements and subjects as they appear in the natural world. I confidently blend and experiment with various styles, including experimental biomorphism, realism, abstract surrealism, and vintage reproductions.
I am a multi-disciplinary researcher with a natural science background and interdisciplinary experience. My skills in fabricating parametric models for biophysical simulations have fueled my work on a neuroethology PhD project, and I am currently investigating structural color mechanisms in sharks.
